How Kept keeps you safe
Kept has your card, your account and notes about people you know. Here's how each one is kept safe.
Your money
Stripe handles payments
Stripe stores your card, so Kept never sees your full card number. If a payment ever fails, you get several days to fix it, and your Billing page shows exactly what happens next.
Spending limits
You set a budget for each person and a monthly limit for all gifts. Nothing is bought without your yes.
Money back if a gift isn't bought
You're charged when you approve a gift. If Kept hasn't bought it within 3 days, you get your money back without asking.
Your account
Two-step sign-in
Turn it on in Settings. Then signing in needs a code from an app on your phone as well as your password.
Your data
Your data isn't for sale
Kept only uses what you tell it to pick gifts, and never sells it. You can download your data or delete your account any time in Settings.
No marketing emails
Kept only emails you about your account, your gifts and your security. No sales and no ads. You can turn off the optional emails in Settings.
The companies Kept uses
Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Supabase and Vercel to run the site, and Anthropic's Claude to read what you write about someone and come up with gift ideas. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.
No product photos
Kept doesn't show product photos. It tells you what the gift is and why it fits. Every pick links to the shop's own page if you want to see it.
Locked out?
Reset your password from the login page. Kept emails you a link. Kept never buys a gift on its own, so nothing is bought unless someone signed in taps Approve.
